Evah Pirazzi Gold violin strings features

Although it is based on the same synthetic-core than the Evah Pirazzi, Obligato and Violino strings, this new version goes even further. In fact, the name Gold directly comes from the use of gold on the G string. By adding this fine metal, the sound is deeper and rounder.

The set of strings is only available in one tension – which is medium – but it is close to the previous tensions of Evah Pirazzi Forte strings. Therefore, it is a set that mainly aims for power, which then does not necessarily fit the most delicate violins.

An alternative does exist – the silver G string – which uses the same technique but offer a sound that is more brilliant. As well as a better price.

Yet again, great quality strings by Pirastro. They keep succeeding thanks to their synthetic fiber that they have developed to reach great results regarding stability and sound. These strings become really interesting thanks to the gold winding on the G string.
