Dominant Pro Cello Strings Features
Thomastik’s inspiration for this new series is based on the legendary Dominant series and the sound produced by tube amplifiers. As a result, it’s a truly modern sound, but one that still has its roots firmly planted in the European musical tradition. This is reflected in a sound, which although it remains warm is resolutely turned towards a well chiseled and bright modernity, offering if necessary a very interesting bubbling saturation.
Their construction is still based on this spiral steel braid technology, like the famous Spirocore, offering an incredible flexibility in the bass. While the highs, surrounded by chrome, give a brilliance, brightness and durability.
what are the benefits of these strings?
- First of all, these ropes have an excellent durability, thanks to their steel core structure and their very resistant metal ribbons. On paper, only the G would be a little more sensitive.
- They have excellent timbre modulation capabilities and many complex tones can be explored.
- Their response is as sharp as lightning, even with superluminal bow strokes (if they existed) and in all dynamics.
