Description
Rositini rosin has been specially designed to make the best out of smaller violins, violas and cellos. Indeed, the usual recipes are commonly based on the length of vibrating strings on adult instruments. That is why they generally do not work as well on instruments used by younger musicians. Now, thanks to Rositini, children also have their own rosin!
Rositini rosin features
Rositini is handmade by the famous Greek rosin manufacturer, Melos. Following strict specifications, it is made from the finest natural ingredients and does not contain chemicals or fillers. Mainly made with natural pine resin from Greece, it produces little dust.
This special formula has been developed by Rositini to work very well with fractional-sized instruments (3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/10, 1/16…). As these violins, violas and cellos have thinner strings, they need a rosin adapted to the grip of their bow hair. Thus, this formula offers a perfectly balanced and warm sound on smaller instruments.
Moreover, the cakes are smaller so that they can be easily manipulated by the youngest musicians.
Can Rositini make a difference?
To answer quickly – yes. Choosing a rosin is important. Indeed, using low-quality or non-adapted rosins can produce a scratchy sound. In some cases, it is so grippy that the bow is literally glued to the strings. Which has a disastrous consequence on the playing experience, while also completely killing the sound.
In fact, buying a rosin of higher quality is perhaps one of the cheapest ways to help improve the sound of an instrument.
That’s why choosing this rosin will significantly improve the learning phase of your young musician. As much for the comfort of playing with the bow as for the sound produced.
