Kun Solo violin shoulder rest, also called K200 (perhaps as a reference to David Hasselhoff’s talking car), is the new design by the famous brand of violin shoulder rest. It is more comfortable, easier to adjust, but above all, foldable.

Kun Solo violin shoulder rest

The latest release by the famous violin shoulder-rest manufacturer is probably the model I love most. It actually gathers the features specific to each series to create a SUPER model.

Do note that the shoulder rest is adjustable for all 4/4 and 3/4 size violins.

Kun solo shoulder rest advantages

  • Before anything else, being able to adjust the legs is a pure delight. Not only do they have more adjustments, they also are super quick to move thanks to the finger lever. Bye bye old screws that took 10 minutes to adjust!
  • Then, comfort is even better thanks to a larger and “breathier” pad.
  • Moreover, the legs are foldable – therefore, it is easy to store in cases.
  • Finally, compared to older models, this one is lighter and helps freeing the sound of the instrument.

My review on Kun Solo violin shoulder rest

In my opinion, the shoulder rest is really convincing. I have to admit that I’m usually not a fan of Kun’s models. However, I love the sleek and bronzy design which goes perfectly well with the black details. Moreover, it is really affordable regarding all its options.

The Solo shoulder rest fits especially well violinists that need a thicker pad and a better comfort for their shoulder and chin. As it is advised to adjust it quite high, you must check that the bar does not touch the back of the violin if you adjust it low.
